Is it hate mail? Or fan mail? It’s hard to tell:

Are you a narcissist? The way your web page is written make [sic] you seem like an ego maniac. I did appreciate the information you had on trigger points.

I’m getting mixed messages here, buddy. Facebook posts and tweets about my weird mail are really popular, but this one inspired so many funny suggested replies that I just have to publish some highlights:

  • “Are you an idiot? Because the way your question is written makes you seem like an idiot. I did appreciate your inquiry.” ~ Laura Allen
  • “No, I’m not a narcissist, I just actually am that smart and talented.” ~ Trent Cunningham
  • “Being a narcissist would be a character flaw, and I’m too good for that.” ~ Joe Fulgham of Caustic Soda Podcast
  • “No, this isn’t narcissism, it’s something spontaneous, and it’s called ‘wit.’” ~ Aaron Hawryluk

And my personal favourite:

  • “Probably. What’s your point? You should.” ~ Jason Erickson
