Muscle cell nuclei move?!
I think science might be drunk:
“Striking images show how, shortly after the exercise concludes, nuclei scuttle toward tears in the muscle fibers and issue commands for new proteins to be built, in order to seal the wounds.”
Scuttling muscle cell nuclei! What will they think of next?
But I really shouldn’t be surprised. It is obvious that the nano realm and its animalcules are way more diverse and dynamic than we can really wrap our heads around. But I’m still surprised! I have spent most of my life visualizing muscle cell nuclei as being about as mobile as Jabba the Hutt.
So, yeah, highly mobile nuclei is going to take some getting used to.
