Trigger points: “So what is going on? My best guess.” I’ve written a new final section for my mildly scandalous “Trigger Point Doubts” article, a “working theory that almost everyone can probably agree to,” namely that trigger point therapy consists of a combination of a good story with induced sensory modulation, which may explain effects that often seem to be somewhat grander than just placebo, while still being less than medicine.
