Over the years I have vented quite a lot about some of the kooky and hostile e-mail I get. Today I’d like to show some gratitude for some of the awesome e-mail I get.
Recently an expert contacted me with some earnest concern about one of my articles. I responded with enthusiasm, because I saw signs not just of expertise, but artfulness: a crafty and creative mind. His second message was truly a gift. I was reminded yet again that I am not the sharpest tool in the shed. There are people who can and do think circles around me … and some of them are willing to spend their time adjusting my course. Delightful.
