Appendices: Ozone generator photo gallery

This page presents several hi-res photos of an ozone generator, an artifact from the (literally!) colourful history of ozone therapy. Ozone is a deadly toxic gas, but for decades consumers could buy ozone generators, like this bizarre vintage medical device of unknown origin (it has no information with it, no labelling of any kind). It still “works” insofar at it appears to produce ozone! Powering it up creates a strong ozone odour, and the paddle causes the sensation of little sparks when applied to the skin. Ozone therapy is explore in some detail in my fibromyalgia article, and it gets a mention in Popular but Weird & Dangerous Cures.
