When we exercise, we produce protein, MOTS-c. Injecting that protein into mice seemed to have a rather dramatic effect on their athletic performance. Ben Taube for IFLScience.com: “17% of the aged mice were able to increase their running speed to a sprint after being injected with [MOTS-c] …while none of their untreated counterparts managed to go faster than walking pace.”

Intriguing. I would like to increase my running speed…
