Detailed, evidence-based help for common painful problems

Getting “old”

Weekly nuggets of pain science news and insight, usually 100-300 words, with the occasional longer post. The blog is the “director’s commentary” on the core content of a library of major articles and books about common painful problems and popular treatments. Overhead conversation between an adult and a small child...

CHILD: I always have a sore knee.

ADULT: Always?

CHILD: Yeah, always! It just hurts lots.

ADULT: I guess you’re getting old.

CHILD: I am almost five now.

Probably not a solid diagnosis there. But cute. And a little poignant.
