Weekly nuggets of pain science news and insight, usually 100-300 words, with the occasional longer post. The blog is the “director’s commentary” on the core content of a library of major articles and books about common painful problems and popular treatments. After a winter hiatus, I’m ready to bring the RSS feed back to life (that’s I’ve been very active on Twitter (@PainSci), and have gotten into a nice groove there, living the microblogging dream.

I think it’s been great working within Twitter’s new 240-character limit. Although maligned by many, to me it has felt like enough room for a lot more creativity and substance, while still being quite concise. In fact, that kind of post-length was the original inspiration for my blogging here: the posts were always supposed to be “like Tweets, but a bit beefier,” with the odd larger one. Unfortunately, I have never come close to that ratio.
