Weekly nuggets of pain science news and insight, usually 100-300 words, with the occasional longer post. The blog is the “director’s commentary” on the core content of PainScience.com: a library of major articles and books about common painful problems and popular treatments. See the blog archives or updates for the whole site.
Try to contain your excitement: you can now press the ESC key to close footnotes and other popups on PainScience.com! TRY!Press escape and this popup will go buh-bye. Assuming you are using a physical keyboard, that is. This minor-but-obvious feature has been on my to-do list from the beginning, for as long as there has been a to-do list for PainScience.com. Eight years? Ten? Something like that. So, finally, after four hours, a bit of hacky javascript, some surprising complexity (of course), et voila — you can finally dismiss popups with the keyboard. Ta da!
