Jock and Ben, unfortunately, need to be seen to be believed — that is, you need to go to their school on Gabriola Island (see Haven.ca) and study their ideas up close and personal. Their book does not stand alone particularly well. However, if you are prepared to read carefully, the book is exactly what the title promises: a manual for life. It’s pretty amazing stuff.
