Expert Profile: Dr. Christopher Moyer

Dr. Christopher Moyer is an Illinois psychologist and researcher who focusses on massage therapy, and co-author of the text Massage Therapy with Trish Dryden. He is particularly well known for his studies of the effect of massage on anxiety and depression (see Moyer 2008) and cortisol (see Moyer 2011). In my opinion, Dr. Moyer is the most credible researcher studying massage today. Dr. Moyer has contributed his expertise and comments on many PainScience.com articles, and is one of my most valued sources.
Apparently he also makes an unusually good pizza.
